Pro Vita Bona Foundation

Welcome to our website!

Our mission

The mission of our foundation is to build a culture oriented on promoting the good life and entrepreneurship among children, adolescents as well as their parents.

The good life is the ideal of a genuinely human life. This ideal assumes that a human being requires knowledge and freedom for his or her full development. Knowledge in order to understand one’s own nature; freedom to be able to direct oneself and influence the surrounding environment to make it compatible with this nature.

Our name

Bona vita – good life. A good life is one, which is in accordance with human nature.

The name of the foundation – Pro Vita Bona Research Institute – refers to the classical concept of the good life. Classical, since it was formed among others by Plato and Aristotle, and later expanded by medieval philosophers. It is fundamentally based upon the knowledge of the personal nature of the human being, which is free and rational.

The idea

The classical concept of natural law maintains that every creature should live according with its nature. That what is adequate, for example, for a rose, does not have to be proper for a Persian cat. A human being is endowed with an immense potential, but he or she is not always able to fulfill it in its entirety. This sometimes results from the lack of understanding of oneself and one’s own nature, sometimes from the lack of will to genuinely be oneself, whereas at other times it is a result of obstacles present in culture and social institutions.

According to the classical concept, the human being does not act rationally and freely per se, but must be adequately prepared to this way of functioning. This takes place through an education emphasizing the development of cognitive (logic and skills of discerning one’s imagination from that what is empirically cognizable) as well as volitional competences, by – as the ancients claimed – submitting the senses and feelings to reason.

The goal of our Foundation

The goal of the Foundation is to promote knowledge about human nature, about the potential within us, about our capabilities, as well as to show the conditions which must be fulfilled in order for this potential to be realized.

The goal of our foundation is to create projects which shall liberate creative energy first and foremost among children and shall allow them to fulfill that which is part of their nature.

In other words, the goal of the Foundation is to create a culture based on truth, lawfulness, responsibility and entrepreneurship by creating educational programs for children, adolescents and adults, as well as working for the purpose of implementing adequate systemic solutions.

Our vision

We have managed to create a more modern vision for expressing the classical concept of the good life. It can be summed up by the phrase: become your own manager. The essence of this vision is forming the ability to genuinely manage oneself. Managing oneself is a part of entrepreneurship. An entrepreneurial person can find the simplest possible way for solving the most difficult tasks and is able to apply it in practice.

Entrepreneurial people do not wait until others do something for them, but they want to creatively change the world themselves. Only someone who became his or her own manager can also supervise other people.

Our strategic goal

  • A young person fulfills him or herself through the environment that surrounds him or her and determines his or her awareness to do good. We want to support young people in this endeavor.
  • We want to aid young entrepreneurial people, so that they could have the best possible intellectual and practical support.

  • We wish to indicate, using real life examples, the appropriate way of developing the optimal entrepreneurial skills.

  • We believe that even the youngest children can develop their entrepreneurial genes, because in our opinion entrepreneurship is innate. The only thing that one must do is to properly direct it.

The Foundation fulfills its goals by means of:

  • Conducting activities in the field of education, training, consulting, coaching, supervising, organizing, financing workshops, training sessions as well as conferences, lectures, seminars, symposiums, discussions, presentations, competitions, festivals, expositions, fairs, meetings, celebrations contributing to the realization of the Foundation’s goals.
  • Conducting research projects.
  • Developing studies to introduce changes to relevant legislation, legal norms, financial principles and other organizational arrangements.
  • Engaging the business sector in activities contributing to the fulfillment of the Foundation’s goals.
  • Initiating and developing cooperative projects with local and central government authorities aiding the goals of the Foundation.
  • Conducting journalistic as well as promotional and informational activities aiding the realization of the Foundation’s goals, including managing websites, publishing and distributing books, magazines, newspapers, leaflets and promotional flyers, brochures, CD’s, DVD’s and various thematic publications.
  • Advertising activity, including endeavors in the realm of social marketing and advertising, serving the proliferation of the knowledge associated with the Foundation’s statute goals in broader social milieus.
  • Charity activities in the realm aiding the fulfilment of the Foundation’s goals.
  • Cooperation as well as forming coalitions and partnerships with Polish and foreign non-governmental social, research-oriented organizations, private, local and central governmental institutions, media outlets with respect to initiatives which are convergent with the goals defined in the statute.
  • Co-organizing and financing educational, formative and care-giving facilities.

Entrepreneurship model

Through promoting free entrepreneurship we wish to promote a model which would be an alternative to the one predominant at mainstream economical courses that present the human being as a solitary atomic unit concentrated exclusively on oneself and one’s own interests (individualistic liberalism) or as a member of a collective, to which he or she must submit (socialism).

The classical economic model, also known as the Latin one, assumes that the main goal of the economy is to satisfy the needs of the family. This model assumes a far-reaching decentralization of the economy, so that as many families as possible could enjoy economic independence.

It places the human being in a central position as a person that fulfills his or her inner potential to act rationally, freely, creatively and responsibly.

In order for such an economic model to function in practice, it is necessary to establish an educational system which would place emphasis on the development of personhood.

Who can support us?

The culture of the good life is a culture of abundance. Abundance created by entrepreneurial and creative people who wish to support each other with the fruit of their work.

We intend to reach entrepreneurs who would like to support us with their knowledge and personal example as well as by means of financial and material aid.

We count on all those people who hold dear the idea of the “good life” and would be willing to help us in its proliferation.

How can you help us?

We are open to your ideas!

It is easiest to help us by donating funds to our Foundation account. Thank you for your generosity!
